How to Get Rid of Dark Spots on Your Skin Naturally- Facial Mask

This natural facial mask gives your skin a glow, contains antibacterial properties and provides your skin with vitamins. When done the right way, the honey-lime facial mask clears your skin of dark spots and blackheads. It helps you get rid of dark spots on your skin the healthy way and can be used to clear discolourations around the elbow, inner thighs and underarms.

The ingredients are handy and the process only takes a few minutes.

1. Ingredients

  1. Pure Honey- 1 tablespoon. For best results use pure and raw honey.
  2. Lime- 1 teaspoon. You can get fresh lime at your loca grocery store, alternatively, check here.

Lime is a natural remedy which is good for lightening dark spots on the skin due to its high level of vitamin C and citric acid. It also has amazing exfoliating properties. Honey is good for skin treatment because it is naturally antibacterial and contains antioxidants which are good for the skin, helps boost your complexion and can help unclog skin pores.

When your ingredients are set, it is time to prepare the mask.

2. Prepare the mask

In a clean bowl squeeze one teaspoon of lime. Add one tablespoon of fresh honey and mix evenly.

3. Application

  1. Wash your face with lukewarm (not hot) water and wipe your face dry.
  2. With your fingers, apply the honey-lime mask evenly on your face. Avoid contact with your eyes, especially because the lime is acidic.
  3. When you’re done applying the mask to your face, wait for about 15 minutes.
  4. Wash your face properly with clean water ( preferably cold water).
  5. You can wash your face further with soap.
  6. Rinse completely.
  7. Wipe your face dry with a clean woolen or cotton towel.

Do this once a day for 3-4 times a week. For best results, clean your face frequently and maintain a clean skin.

You can use this mask to clear up other dark parts of your skin including dark underarms, inner thighs, and knees.
